Highly regarded and known as a "singer's singer" by his peers in the music industry, Steve has also gained a strong reputation as a performer, composer, vocal coach, guitarist, producer and music director. Many of you would have already heard Steve's voice on T.V or radio, as it appears on literally thousands of Commercials and jingles. His voice has been used for almost all of the major company ad campaigns in this country…..i.e. McDonalds, Myer, Woolworths, Coles, Mobil, Qantas, Gillette, Mars and Telstra, to name a few. Steve also added his voice to many U.S and Asian commercials.
In the early '90's Steve teamed up with Graeham Goble (founding member of The Little River Band) to sing lead vocals on 2 of Graeham's albums and consequently toured Europe in "93 to promote the albums.
For the last part of the '90's, Steve spent most of his time in the United States touring as lead singer with The Little River Band. Playing over 150 shows each year, they travelled extensively throughout the U.S, with the highlight being a performance on "The Today Show - Summer series concert" with Katie Kouric in New York City.
As an award-winning songwriter (over 40 awards), Steve has written and recorded over 200 songs and had numerous cuts by local and international acts.
Over the years he has worked either, in the studio/TV/live with artists such as, Hall and Oates, Chicago, America, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton John, Tina Arena, Ross Wilson, Dragon, Men at Work, Yothu Yindi, Bert Newton, Lindsay Field, Renee Geyer and many more. He has also appeared on T.V shows such as G.M.A, G.M.M, Hey Hey it's Saturday, Bert Newton Show, In Melbourne Tonight, Vizard, Ray Martin Show, Dancing with the Stars, to name a few. Steve continues his work as, a session singer, Vocal Coach, Composer (recently writing songs for the Children's TV series, "Mortified") and performer in Australia and overseas.
As a vocal/Guitar coach/tutor, Steve has also run numerous workshops at Secondary schools and conducted a 70-piece choir at Hamer Hall for the eastern region schools' concert.
Steve continues to work live in numerous capacities: Solo/Duo/Trios/4 and 5-piece Rock Bands and bigger line ups often for corporate shows.
His solo repertoire at present consists of over 1,300 songs ranging from 1930's songs, all decades up to current chart-topping songs from the present.
